The next four (4) exercises will help keep your mouth moving and prevent them from getting stiff. If you don't use the function you might lose the function.
Open your mouth as wide as you can. You should feel a stretch but not any pain. Hold this position for 5 seconds then relax for a few seconds to give your mouth a break. Good work! Repeat this for seven (7) to eight more (8) times.

Stick out your tongue as far as it will go and really stretch your tongue as far as it will go. Hold this position. Remember that if you feel any dryness in your mouth, you should take a break and swish with water or your baking soda solution. Lets try this one again.
Stick out your tongue as far as it will go. Hold for 5 seconds and release this position. (x3)
Stick out your tongue up towards your nose like you are trying to touch your tongue towards your nose. Don't worry about actually touching your tongue to your nose, just go as far as you can. Hold this position. Now move your tongue down towards your chin. Hold this position. Now rest. This exercise can be a little tricky...lets try again.
Stick your tongue towards the tip of your nose like you are trying to touch your tongue towards your nose. Its ok if you can't reach you nose. Hold your tongue in this position for 5 seconds. Now move your tongue towards your chin like you are trying to touch your chin. Hold for 5 second. Relax. (x3) Repeat this exercise 5-10 times.
Here's a tip for this exercise. Make sure you take your time and hold each position for 5 seconds to make sure you give your tongue a good stretch. You will have better results if you do.
Stick the tip of your tongue out of your mouth and move it to the left corner of your mouth. You don't have to stick your tongue out very far, just the tip. Hold for 5 seconds. Now move your tongue towards the outside right corner of your mouth. Hold your tongue there for 5 second. Release this position.
Move your tongue towards the left corner of your mouth. Hold it there for 5 seconds. Now move your tongue towards the outside right corner of your mouth. Hold your tongue there for 5 second. Release this position. Good work! (x3)
