      <description>Restrictive lung diseases are a category of extrapulmonary, pleural, or parenchymal respiratory diseases that restrict lung expansion, resulting in a decreased lung volume, increased workload of breathing, and inadequate ventilation or oxygenation. &lt;br&gt;In this video, Dr. Mobeen Syed discusses the types of restrictive lung diseases. &lt;br&gt;There are three primary types of restrictive lung diseases, which are extrapulmonary, pulmonary parenchymal, and neuromuscular. &lt;br&gt;Extrapulmonary-restrictive lung diseases include obesity, scoliosis (angulation of spinal cord). &lt;br&gt;Neuromuscular-restrictive lung diseases include myasthenia gravis, diaphragmatic failure, and polio. &lt;br&gt;The category of parenchymal-restrictive diseases includes idiopathic, autoimmune, granulomatous, occupational diseases (silicosis, anthracosis, asbestosis), chronic infections, tuberculosis. &lt;br&gt;The following topics have discussed in the video: &lt;br&gt;* Restrictive lung diseases &lt;br&gt;* Types of restrictive lung diseases</description>
